Australian Sauvignon Blanc wins best in the world at Hong Kong International Wine and Spirit Competition!
Southern Highland Wines, based in Suton Forest, New South Wales' emerging Southern Highlands wine region, have recently won several major awards for their locally produced wines. The accolades just keep on coming for their Oldbury Reserve 2010 Sauvignon Blanc. (including London International Wine and Spirit Competition, Oct 2010)
Wine Makers Dominic Bosch, Eddy Rossi and the Southern Highland Wines team are over the moon following their recent Trophy win which is the first time in history at any International wine competition, an Australian Sauvignon Blanc has won, rising above New Zealand.
Southern Highland Wines also took home a gold medal for the 2010 Oldbury Reserve with only two gold medals awarded for Sauvignon Blanc, the other being from the traditionally recognised home of Sauvignon Blanc, New Zealand.
The Cathay Pacific Hong Kong International WIne and Spirit Competition sees a top class panel of Asia's most esteemed judges from China, Japan, Korea, Singapore and Taiwan assemble to acknowledge the world's best wines.
