The Illawarra Fly Tree Top Walk
Discover... explore... climb... view... experience... relax...
The Treetop Walk is a unique attraction which enables visitors to experience a 1500 metre walk through beautiful warm temperate rainforest. The uniqueness of our attraction in comparison to other rainforest walks is that 500 metres of this walk is nestled in the treetop canopy some 20-30 metres above ground level. The walkway culminates in a spiral tower that rises to a breathtaking 45 metres above the forest floor. This is a significant departure from the normal mode of eco-tourism delivery, a more interventionist approach that allows a far wider spectrum of the touring public to enjoy, learn and respect the forest. Add to this the thrills and challenges of two confronting swaying springboard cantilevers suspended 25 metres above the forest floor which take guests to the edge of the escarpment.
Open every day the Treetop Walk ascends at a gentle grade and is suitable for guests of all ages and mobilities. A courtesy cart operates for guests with limited mobility and our friendly staff are happy to arrange this when you arrive at the guest services counter. More than a walk... Cafe 106 operates daily within the Illawarra Fly visitor centre, serving gourmet meals, exceptional coffee, quick snacks, Cuttaway Hill Estate wines and Pigs Fly Ales - come and join us for lunch today.
Located in the Southern Highlands of NSW only 10 minutes from Robertson and under two hours from Sydney or Canberra the Illawarra Fly Treetop Walk is ideal as day-trip destination or short break.
